Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and disclosed by the Clark bot to provide, maintain, and improve our services.

1. Information Collection and Use

We collect essential data necessary for bot functionality, including:

  • Identifiers: Discord User IDs and Guild IDs are stored to link settings, XP, and logs to your account.
  • AI Chat Logs: Messages directed to Clark are processed through the Groq API. We retain a sliding window of the last 20 messages per user to maintain context. This data is purged every 30 days.
  • Audit Trails: To provide moderation features, we log message content during edits or deletions within configured servers.

2. Third-Party Data Processing

Clark utilizes the Groq API for processing natural language interactions. We have confirmed that message content sent to Groq is not used for training their machine learning models. We do not sell or share your personal data with any other third parties.

3. Data Security and Retention

Data integrity is our priority:

  • AES-256 Encryption: All persistent data is stored in a secure, off-platform MySQL database environment, protected at rest by industry-standard encryption.
  • Retention Policy: Core data (XP, settings, logs) is retained indefinitely to maintain service continuity. Temporary AI history is purged every 30 days.

4. Your Data Rights

You maintain full control over your data. You may request the deletion of all data associated with your User ID (XP, personal chat history) or Server ID by contacting the developer via our support server. Removing the bot from a guild will trigger an automated data purge for that server.
